Sign up for our Classes at ANY TIME!!!

Take a Mosaic Class and learn from experienced mosaic masters! Unicorn Art Studio, Inc. has been offering mosaics classes in New York City for over 15 years. Classes are for people of all ages, beginners and those with some experience. Variety of mosaic techniques are explored in full depth. A wide range of materials is available for use in class: glass, smalti, ceramic tiles, china, stone. You are welcome to visit the studio prior to signing up! No previous mosaic making experience is required in order to take a class!

NEW!!! Mosaic Parties:
For kids ages 10 and up and adults, of course! Come to the studio for 2-4 hours or full day with your friends and make something unique! Work on one project in a group or make individual pieces. Tools and materials are provided. 6-12 people per party. Call for rates and times.

Our Instructors: Angele & Yakov Hanansen, mosaic artists/designers, MFAs, both have over 30 years of experience in mosaic making for public and private spaces. Most resent projects include public projects for New Jersey Transit Authority, town of Chico in CA, Boston, MA, and private spaces in many cities and states. They is currently working on the stone mosaic for Penn Station in NYC.

Class Rates and Fees:
For the first 7 introductory sessions the cost is $340*. First class includes introduction to history of mosaic art and techniques. Project fee: $30 (for projects out of stained glass up to 1 sq ft in size) is charged in addition. Smalti, project fee is $80 per sq ft. The fee for larger projects will be prorated according to the project size and selection of the material. After you take 7 sessions you can continue attending mosaic classes for as many sessions as you wish for $35 per session. Tools are provided for the use in the studio.

Attendance:
Due to limited size of the groups and the nature of our independent business, once signed up, you are expected to attend your class every week. If you can't come to the class, at least a 24 hr notice is required about your absence. "No Show" fee (cost of the session) will be charged for a missed class if no notice was given or if the notice was given too late. As an alternative, you can sign up for a make up class. We thank you for your understanding.
